ACL Cables PLC, the No. 1 cable manufacturer in Sri Lanka partnered Abans PLC, among the country’s renowned conglomerates with the aim of supplying and distributing ACL Ceiling fans at Abans showrooms located islandwide.

The agreement was signed recently between Daya Wahalatantri, Executive Director, ACL and Buddhika Dharmawardena, Chief Marketing Officer, Abans in the presence of senior management from both organisations.

The initial phase of this partnership will ensure ACL Cables Ceiling fans are supplied to Abans A Grade dealer point showrooms islandwide. This will be followed by phases two and three which will provide ACL Ceiling fans to all other showrooms across the country.

Commenting on this strategic partnership, Daya Wahalatantari, Executive Director, ACL Cables PLC said, “We are extremely pleased to partner with the nation’s leading electronic appliance company. We are confident that this collaboration would further boost the goodwill of our ceiling fan range as well as reach and serve a wider customer base. While this partnership enhances and strengthens our existing distribution network, it also demonstrates the quality of ACL Ceiling fans against many other brands in the market. Together with Abans we are able to increase supplies and secure a stronger market penetration for our ceiling fans.”

ACL Cables commenced operation for the manufacture of ceiling fans in 2016 and to-date has sold over 60,000 fans showcasing its popularity in the market.

ACL Cables Ceiling fans consist of two models; aluminum blade and metal blade with a 56" sweep. Based on the agreement, ACL Cables will supply its premium model aluminum blade ceiling fan for all Abans showrooms. An added advantage of ACL Cables Ceiling fans is that they have been awarded the energy efficiency rating by the Sri Lanka Standards Institute early this year.

Buddhike Dharmawardena, Chief Marketing Officer, Abans PLC stated, “We have always been looking to extend our range with quality products in the market. This is one such initiative. We are very confident that this partnership will pave fruitful paths for both companies. We also extend our fullest support towards ACL in making this achievement a tremendous success.”
